Caption: Allison Hanson, widow of Covina Police Department officer Scott Hanson, touches her husband's plaque after the Thirty-Eigth Annual Los Angeles County Peace Officers' Memorial ceremony at the Los Angeles County Sheriff STAR Center in Whittier on Wednesday May 9, 2007. Hanson died in the line of duty on July 7, 2006. Two other officers who died in 2006, L.A. Co. sheriff David Piquette and LAPD officer Landon Dorris were also memorialized.
