Caption: Wally's Barber Shop in Altadena, is part of a clinical trial by a Cedars-Sinai Medical Center researcher, to see if the neighborhood barber shop can be successful as an outreach model for high blood pressure control. Cedars has hired researchers to conduct interviews and check blood pressures of Wally's Riddle customers, who are mostly African-American. African-American have a rate of blood pressure than any other race and this research program will also engage doctors and pharmacists as well.
